Facebook recently introduced a “call-to-action” feature which gives you the opportunity to connect with your audience in a new and exciting way. The feature was designed to bring your most important objectives to the forefront of your Facebook presence, enabling you to drive users to any destination on or off Facebook, where they can take an additional action.
Using this "call-to-action" feature, you can encourage viewers to not only “like” your page but to take action by subscribing to your CalReply calendars. It’s a simple yet powerful way to drive fans directly from your Facebook page to your CalReply pages, in just one click.
How it Works
Adding a "call-to-action" button is a quick and easy process within your Facebook account. The button appears in the header of your Facebook page, to the left of the “like” button. See example below:
Facebook provides 7 calls-to-action you can use on your button. They include:
We recommend using the “Sign-Up” button, which you can link directly to the #SHOWS page, which lists all of your current and upcoming content, or to your individual SmartCal pages.
NASCAR is using the "Sign-Up" button to drive fans to their CalReply SmartCal page, where they can download the NASCAR schedule to their mobile calendar. Fans can choose their race series (Sprint Cup, Xfinity, or Camping World Truck) and subscribe to receive alerts with correct channel ID, 15 minutes before races begin.
Syfy network is using the Sign-Up button on all of their official show Facebook pages, linking fans directly to show SmartCal pages.
Syfy has also placed a Sign-Up button on their main Facebook page, which links directly to their #SHOWS page. This page lists all current and upcoming content, allowing viewers to subscribe to multiple calendars at one time.
Since adding the “Sign-Up” buttons, both Syfy and NASCAR have seen a substantial increase in the number of subscribers coming directly from Facebook.
